Stakeholders can either help or hinder your project, and thus stakeholder management is critical to successful change projects. Stakeholders are individuals or groups that are either impacted by the change or have influence over the direction (and evaluation) of the project. If you lobby stakeholders effectively, they will remove barriers to your plan and encourage people to adopt the changes you need.
