Not so much anymore. Their culture has been slowly deteriorating over the last few years with a focus on achieving quarterly results, removing previously held perks and more hierarchical ways of operating. Google’s culture hit a new low after massive layoffs conducted via email with seemingly little regard for HR business norms.

AI seems to be everything, everywhere all at once, all of a sudden. When even its biggest advocate (and a Bond villain for some of us) signals caution, we should probably pay attention. Though there’s likely low risk in asking ChatGPT to generate a Spotify playlist, for instance (ask me how I know this), it’s probably also wise to proceed with caution.
