Equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) programs are often falling short. You don’t change a business’s EDI culture overnight; it doesn’t change with a training session, a policy or an audit. All important steps but real, sustainable EDI culture change needs to be holistic and an all-in journey, as some organizations are proving.

As I get older (quiet, I’m still young!), I’m increasingly and purposefully distancing myself from the negativity in the world (I’m looking at you, social media) and turning over rocks for the good stuff. It’s there, you just have to look for it. Even Einstein said so, and he was a genius!

Here are 5 questions to determine if someone is a bonafide expert. My favourite is number 3: Does the person go into depth? I would add “about their failures.”

In short: people are tired (hello quiet quitting) but many are also ”broke.” Bonjour overemployment, the latest trend in (1) getting on the property ladder and (2) convincing employers it’s time to get your butt back in the office.
